For Adrian Villar Rojas' latest exhibition ('Theater of Disappearance') at the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, we created an array of experimental cake sculptures. In tandem with the natural rock formations surrounding the immersive installation, over 70 cakes were baked to create a conversation between both sedimentary forms and textures. The cakes represented a sense of nostalgia, hidden in a timeless landscape of collected, yet abandoned artifacts.
