In partnership with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, we designed and developed the user interface for a data visualization software called Cognitive Core by Zoic Labs. The program collects databases across multiple platforms including open source, social media, GIS maps and private datasets, showcasing information in visual formats such as node graphs, diagrams and charts. With over 150 individual UI elements and a “game environment” GUI, the interface design for Cognitive Core was focused on being intuitive to any user. The Motion Arsenal worked hard to problem solve user interaction and experience flows by working closely with the software engineers and adapting our designs to the changing features. We chose to use a dark and moody colour palette with accents of cyan and orange to better highlight information to the user, while maintaining a sleek and modern interface.
