The word 'Anatta' traces back to Sanskrit origins — within its three syllables lie a plethora of definitions like breathlessness, duality, the self. This multi-media sensory installation combines sculpture, animation and projection to draw lines around ideas of the body, mind and soul. The metaphorical plane divides two worlds — one of viscous membrane, which holds moving light and fleeting thoughts, and the underbelly of intricate moving gears. The hand-drawn animation illustrates a metamorphosis of forms which occur within our selves, as a symbol of ever-evolving states of being.
